My name is Tara Higgison. I am a film producer from Atlanta, Georgia who creates films that invite everyone in, not just a select few. My mission is to build community through accessible cinema that makes people feel seen, connected, and inspired.

My first film “The Humming Grows” is an action short film starring Jewelianna Ramos Ortiz of Cobra Kai fame. It received 37 festival selections, 14 awards, and 9 nominations at festivals like Panic Fest, Charlotte Film Festival, Chattanooga Film Festival, Stage 32 Short Film Contest, Flicker's, the EMA Green Seal, and more.

My upcoming short film documentary “Where Soul Lives On” in partnership with Mercer University is about the history of Capricorn Studios in Macon, Georgia. With interviews featuring Chuck Leavell, Duane Betts, Alan Walden, Devon Allman, Lamar Williams Jr, Mark Lockett of The Reddings, StillWater Band, Paul Hornsby, and more.
