Where Soul Lives On is a short documentary exploring the legacy of Capricorn Studios in Macon, Georgia, a place where Southern rock, soul, and American music history were forever shaped. Produced in partnership with Mercer University, the film explores the studio’s life: its rise, near collapse, abandonment, and unlikely rebirth. Through intimate interviews with Chuck Leavell, Duane Betts, Alan Walden, Devon Allman, Lamar Williams Jr., Mark Lockett of The Reddings, members of StillWater Band, Paul Hornsby, and others, the documentary captures the spirit, stories, and cultural impact that still echo through Capricorn’s walls.
